In-house laboratory and blood tests
Complete blood counts and biochemistry tests done in-house — samples are not sent to an outside lab.
About this service
A blood test is one of the tools vets use most often to understand the state of your pet’s internal organs and overall health. At our clinic, complete blood counts are run on the Mindray BC-30 Vet hematology analyzer, and organ function tests — such as liver, kidney and blood glucose — on the Mindray vetXpert biochemistry analyzer.
Because samples are not sent to an outside lab, you don’t have to wait for results: they are usually reviewed by our vets within 15–30 minutes and explained to you clearly. This speed helps us start treatment without delay, especially for lethargic patients or those in an emergency.
Blood tests are used in many situations: diagnosing suspected illness, monitoring response to treatment, regular check-ups for older pets and assessing anesthetic risk before surgery.

Frequently asked questions
How long do blood test results take?
Complete blood counts are run on our Mindray BC-30 Vet and biochemistry tests on our Mindray vetXpert, in-house; samples are not sent to an outside lab. Results are usually reviewed by our vets and explained to you within 15–30 minutes.
What should I pay attention to before neutering?
Book at least one day in advance and follow the fasting period our vet specifies (usually 8–12 hours). Before surgery your pet’s general condition is assessed in an examination, and a blood test can be done at our clinic to screen for anesthetic risk. Please tell our vet about any medication your pet takes or past illnesses.
When are X-ray results reviewed?
Digital X-rays taken with the Mindray VetiGen P50 appear on the computer screen within seconds. The images are reviewed by our vets during the same visit and the findings are explained to you clearly; the whole process usually takes 15–30 minutes.
